In September 2016, fans were stunned by the news that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had split, with the latter later admitting that his addiction to alcohol played a huge part in the divorce filing that followed with their split.
And while the Oscar award-winning actor has had no problem moving on from his estranged wife with other women, it appears as if the mother of six has taken a different approach and decided to focus her attention elsewhere.
While Angie continues to be seen in public, fans have noticed that she’s never seen with any male companions to suggest she’s dating, nor have sources given any indication that she’s looking for a relationship — but has she dated at all since her split from Brad?
Is Angelina Jolie Dating Since Her Split With Brad Pitt?
To put it frankly, the Salt actress apparently has had no desire in looking for a boyfriend, though she’s believed to have gone on a few dates in recent years, Us Weekly reports.
At the end of the day, Angelina is still married to Brad, and while there are no plans in calling off their lengthy divorce battle, the fact that they are still legally bound to one another, it’s said that she’s looking to end her marriage with her ex before starting anything serious.
Since their split, Angelina and Brad have made headlines concerning the messy divorce as both stars reportedly battled it out to keep their share of assets given that no prenuptial agreement was put in place when the ex-couple tied the knot in August 2014.
If that wasn’t enough, the brunette reportedly never wanted to get married, to begin with, but after being “pressured” with the move by her former flame, she decided to pull through with the wedding plans despite having had her doubts from the minute Brad had suggested the idea.
“She felt that Brad pressured her into getting married, and it was something that she never wanted to do.”
In November 2019, Us Weekly also claimed that while Angie had been on a few dates since calling it quits with Brad, her main priority remained on her children and motherhood — she’s taking things gradually as far as her love life is concerned, but her kids always come first.
“She isn’t closed to the idea of meeting someone new, but it’s not her main priority,” the insider gushed. “She’s all about focusing on the kids, her job, and cleaning up her messy divorce.”
The 45-year-old told Harper’s Bazaar in December 2019 that she credits her children for being able to handle the drastic changes in their life so well, but considering the amount of time she spends with them on a daily basis, they’ve grown so much closer as a family because of the obstacles they once faced.
“The part of us that is free, wild, open, curious can get shut down by life. By pain or by harm,” she said.
“My children know my true self, and they have helped me to find it again and to embrace it. They have been through a lot. I learn from their strength. As parents, we encourage our kids to embrace all that they are, and all that they know in their hearts to be right, and they look back at us and want the same for us.”
Brad, on the other hand, hasn’t found it as difficult as Angelina to move on from the marriage because after years of therapeutic treatment for his addiction, it appears the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood movie star was ready to join the dating scene again.
While he’s been romantically linked to several stars since 2016, Brad was most recently said to be dating 27-year-old model Nicole Poturalski, who resides in Berlin, Germany.
The two shared a three-month relationship earlier in the year before reportedly deciding to end their romance, with sources telling Page Six that things were never that serious between them, to begin with.
And while both Angie and Brad are said to be single, there’s no chance of a reconciliation between the pair. The two have gradually gotten to a place where the only communication they have these days is when it comes to their children.
Both Hollywood stars still reside in Los Angeles, so spending time with the kids hasn’t been all that challenging with Brad reportedly only living minutes away from his ex.
But aside from co-parenting and any other matters concerning their offsprings, Brad and Angelina are no longer focused on seeing whether there’s a chance they could still get back together, with sources saying that they’re happier apart.
