Multi-faceted entertainer Trevor Jackson releases the visual to his first single, “Just Friends,” today. He also announces the title of his highly-anticipated forthcoming debut album, The Love Language.
Creatively inspired by the 2004 Oscar winning film, The Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind starring Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey. We watch as Trevor grapples over his emotions after having his memory erased. The cinematic story of lost love was created & directed by Trevor and ARRAD (Megan Thee Stallion, Mulatto, Tyga, YG). “Just Friends” features a sample from the timeless R&B classic “Lovers and Friends” by Usher, Lil Jon, and Ludacris!
The mid-tempo track serves as the first single for the singer’s forthcoming debut album, The Love Language due this spring via Born Art/EMPIRE. The 14-track LP embodies the singer’s insights and past experiences in love stating, “It can be whatever those love languages mean to you, but don’t settle for anything less than that,” said Jackson.
In the fall of 2019, Trevor won the 2019 Soul Train Certified Award, an award that celebrates R&B’s best independent artists beating out such names as Ciara, Kelly Rowland and Daniel Caesar for his critically-acclaimed project, Rough Drafts Pt. 2. To date, the project has received roughly 20M+ streams and counting.
