Oscar T. Keesee

For those who were not aware, there was another actor from Galt. Oscar T. Keesee was born in 1918 and was a well-known actor in the Philippines in the 1940s and 50s. He was nominated for the FAMAS (like the US Oscar) award four times and received it twice for being the best supporting actor. Keesee appeared in two American horror films, Terror Is a Man in 1959 and Brides of Blood in 1964. He was a member of the Valley Oaks Grange No. 368 in Galt. Keesee had plans to soon go to Hollywood to resume his career in this country but sickness interrupted his plans. He died from complications following surgery.
